Looking back on a successful METS 2019

We are looking back on a very successful METS 2019. The highlight was, without doubt, our annual New Build Networking Event for industry relations involved in newbuild projects on the yacht owner's side. This year we were once again delighted to welcome a substantial number of newbuild project representatives and crew to the event.

Following the canal tour through the historic Amsterdam canals, whilst enjoying a drink and infamous Dutch 'bitterballen', it was time for action. A proper curling competition on the ice rink at the Museumplein, right in the heart of Amsterdam. Keeping the evening chill off thanks to the scarfs from Grannies Finest*, 6 teams "seriously" competed in the winter atmosphere for the prestigious first place.

All that activity and excitement worked up a real appetite which was soon satisfied thanks to the delicious dishes served during the walking dinner on the heated terrace of ICE Amsterdam looking out over the Rijksmuseum. And for those diehards amongst the group, the evening finally drew to close at the after-party hosted at De Bajes.

Now it is time for us to return to our daily business and we look forward to intensifying our cooperation. We are here to help you with all your onboard supplies and material management issues. In the broadest sense, we are here to make your life easier. There is no question or request too crazy for us! *Scarfs knitted by elderly people. Across multiple locations in the Netherlands more than 800 elderly people come together and get knitting keeping them socially and physically active and reducing the risk of isolation. SuperYacht Spares supports this social project.
